Some items require special handling and carry a surcharge on top of the $11 base fee. Every surcharge is published here — no surprises, no hidden costs.

How It Works

How Our Pricing Works

Every pickup includes one flat $11 Eco & Fuel Recovery Fee. That's a one-time fee per pickup — not per item. It covers fuel, routing, and getting our truck to your address.

Most metal items have no additional charge beyond that $11. But certain items — refrigerators (freon), furniture, mattresses, TVs, and inside removal — require special handling, EPA-regulated disposal, or extra labor. Those items carry a per-item surcharge on top of the $11 base.

Your total = $11 base fee (once) + each item's surcharge.
Example: a mattress and a couch at one address = $11 + mattress surcharge + couch surcharge. Not $11 twice.

Refrigerators & Freezers

Refrigerator & Freezer Removal in Indianapolis

Appliances containing refrigerant (freon) require EPA-certified recovery before recycling. Federal law prohibits venting refrigerants into the atmosphere. The surcharge covers certified freon recovery by our technicians.

Furniture is not predominantly metal, so the scrap value doesn't offset our costs the way a washer or stove does. The surcharge covers the additional disposal cost for upholstered and mixed-material items. Priced per piece.

TVs & Monitors

TV Disposal & Recycling in Indianapolis

TVs contain hazardous materials (lead, mercury, cadmium) that require specialized e-waste processing. The surcharge varies by type and size. CRT (tube) TVs cost more to process due to lead content in the glass.

Tires

Tire Disposal in Indianapolis

Tires require specialized disposal under Indiana environmental regulations and cannot be processed at standard scrap yards.

Inside Removal

Inside Appliance Removal & Pickup in Indianapolis

Our standard service covers items placed outside in the driveway, at the curb, or in an open garage. If your item is inside the house, upstairs, or in a basement, we offer inside removal for an additional surcharge based on difficulty.

Item must be disconnected before we arrive — we cannot disconnect gas, water, or electrical lines.

Appliance disassembly (if doors need to come off the unit, or the item needs to be broken down to fit through a doorway) adds an additional +$20 on the main floor or +$40 basement / 2nd story for standard appliances, and +$30 main floor / +$25 basement / 2nd story for refrigerators. +$20 per door if a home door needs to be removed.
